Sachse is a city in Collin and Dallas counties in Texas. It is a northeastern suburb of Dallas. There is currently a major historical revivalist movement, intending to restore several old buildings as well as create a local history museum. In 2013, Sachse was voted one of the top 50 Safest Cities in Texas by SafeWise. In addition to being a safe place to move to, Sachse offers lots of activities for kids and adults. Sachse is home to the Woodbridge Golf Course (which is also home to the Northern Texas Chapter of the PGA.) The city's active Economic Development Corporation helps attract and retain businesses and provides local businesses with grants to fund a variety of property improvements. Sachse's focus on promoting and supporting small business may be one reason the number of its private sector business establishments has doubled in the last decade. Sachse residents who live in Dallas County are zoned to schools in Garland Independent School District. Sachse residents who live in Collin County are zoned to school in Wylie Independent School District.
