Celina is a small town (population just under 7,000) in both Collin and Denton counties in north Texas, but it's a town on the move having grown by more than 200 percent the past decade and a half. Nevertheless, Celina is a community that maintains all of its country charm, located on state Highway 289 and Farm Road 455, 15 miles northwest of McKinney and 12 miles north of Frisco. Celina is a hotbed of residential development as well, with many middle- to upper-scale homes from which to pick. The Celina High School football team is one of the most successful programs in Texas. The Bobcats were the subject of the 2004 documentary, The Power, Passion and Glory. In 2010, Kenny Chesney wrote a song called "The Boys of Fall." Part of the music video, having to do with high school football, shot scenes of Celina.
